What is Geni?

Geni is an AI-powered storytelling toy that helps kids create their own stories through play. Children choose physical tiles like characters, objects, or emotions, and Geni transforms them into short, screen-free audio adventures.
What age is Geni for?

Geni is designed for kids ages 3-8, though we've had younger and older siblings join in on the fun during playtests!
Does Geni need Wi-Fi?

Geni needs Wi-Fi to create new stories, but once created, stories can be downloaded and played offline.

How does Geni keep generated content safe?

Geni is a safety-focused ai storyteller.

No Microphone: There is no listening at all. Our device only reads tile inputs, which are predesigned and cannot be altered.

Closed-loop inputs: Kids can only use tiles. There is no free-text entering the system. Chapters and plots are pre-determined and designed.

Built-in Filtering: Every sentence of every AI-generated story is reviewed by our content safety system before your child hears it. This includes automated keyword filtering and AI-based moderation tuned for child audiences.
How long are the stories? Can they be saved or replayed?

Stories are adjustable! Parents can personalize the length in the companion app to fit your child’s needs, and stories are saved and can be replayed anytime.
